Our team is established in the assessment and study of innovation in healthcare, with a set of in-house skills that bring real insight to the partners we work with.

We identify and explain the complex processes involved in piloting and up-scaling innovations. Using various methods, we can help you understand what's working (or not), why it's working and how you can improve. We help innovators and health providers understand the impact of innovations on patients, staff and the wider health economy. Through evidence based insight we can help you create the conditions for the spread and adoption of an innovation. Most importantly, we do this in real world situations.

We offer a bespoke service which can be tailored to your individual needs:

Advice on evaluation, research methods, implementation frameworks and outcome measures which will work for you
Design of bespoke evaluations which you can take away and use
Delivery of bespoke evaluations, which we will design and deliver for you

Our expertise spans implementation science, quality improvement, data analytics, healthcare modelling, qualitative methods and how to use them together effectively.

We work with a range of partners and clients in primary, secondary (hospital trusts, clinics) care, community settings and the voluntary sector. We also work with innovators to provide evidence for scaling up innovations.

Who we are

The Innovation Insight function sits alongside Health Innovation Wessex’s delivery workstreams and provides an independent evaluation service. We have an extensive programme of work, with currently around 30 different evaluations underway, looking at digital solutions, new models of care, workforce, back office functions and more.
