Funded by Innovate UK and the Medical Research Council, this national programme helps early-stage companies, university spinouts and entrepreneurial-minded academics focused on women’s health to gain the commercial and funding momentum they need for long-term success. Accelerating FemTech offers bespoke support, targeted workshops, and mentoring to enhance product development, entrepreneurship skills and stakeholder engagement across the NHS and academia. The programme will also support participants to prepare for a special closed-call feasibility funding opportunity through the Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst, delivered alongside a collaborative learning programme and facilitated networking with key NHS and health sector stakeholders.
You can learn about the Accelerating FemTec programme on the Health Innovation Network South London website and also browse the frequently asked questions page.

“We are looking forward to supporting this year’s cohort to hone their product further and articulate the value it could bring to individuals and the NHS. For too long women’s health has been underrepresented in clinical research and innovation, but it’s important that we understand women’s health better and develop solutions that enable them to thrive and prioritise their own health, living healthier, happier lives to ensure the whole of society benefits.”
Gemma Snell, Industry and Innovation Programme Manager at Health Innovation Wessex

“The support provided was invaluable, particularly around understanding the information governance requirements in the women's health sector. I also made some excellent connections. I'm still in touch with my coach and mentor, and benefitting from their advice almost a year on from the programme.”
