Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate

Compilation of images of people working in health and social care

Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate, is a 10-week programme that supports UK companies with technologies for women’s health that are already developed but are looking to prove their value. Funded by Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst and run by the Health Innovation Network South London with national partners, it offers tailored support, expert workshops and one-to-one business coaching. The goal is to help companies grow, connect with the right people and plan testing of solutions in real healthcare settings, including cost-effectiveness. It’s all about supporting innovators to make a real impact in women’s health.

Our impact

"For me, the programme was incredibly impactful—not only from a business learning perspective but also in how it shifted the narrative… It gave me a profound sense of belonging and strengthened my confidence to stand tall as a female founder. I genuinely believe this programme should go global."

Alumnus, Accelerating FemTech, 2024

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate, a national programme dedicated to advancing women’s health innovation.

Delivered by the Health Innovation Network South London with funding from Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst, this 10-week hybrid programme supports solutions for women’s health with Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 and above. These innovations should have the potential to address current challenges in women's health and other conditions that affect women differently or disproportionally.

As a partner, we’re proud to contribute to this comprehensive programme, which offers expert-led workshops, one-to-one business coaching, bespoke mentoring and strategic networking opportunities. Through tailored support on collaborative strategy and pathways for real-world evaluation, such as health economic analyses, the programme equips innovators with the tools they need to scale meaningful, evidence-based solutions that have the potential to improve women’s health.

Women’s health has long been underrepresented in innovation. National programmes like this are vital to closing the gap and ensuring that transformative technologies reach the people who need them most.

We’re proud to stand alongside innovators and healthcare leaders to help make that happen.
