Listen to Gemma Snell and Jyoti Sharma in discussion about going from idea to commercialisation with health tech.
They explore the journey that Jyoti has been on as founder of a health tech company, from funding applications for start-up grants, gaining market insights and understanding the regulatory requirements for health tech in the UK. Hear how Health Innovation Wessex (HIW) has supported Jyoti with these, from concept through to innovation development.
As a bootstrap start up, Jyoti was successful in achieving
two funding awards, one from innovate UK and the other from the National
Institute Health Research (NIHR). It was through the package she received from
the NIHR award that she was made aware of the Health Innovation Network (HIN).
HIW supports innovators, from any background, to test ideas and innovations in real world settings. Jyoti has benefitted greatly from the bespoke support and guidance that HIW was able to offer including funding application support, market insights, regulatory advice and providing a better understanding of needs of the wider NHS system and the current priorities and strategies of local systems.
Jyoti, and Mimosa, are now being recognised as one of the top 16 UK/EU digital health start-ups.
Hear more about how Jyoti has worked with HIW, and how with this bespoke support she has progressed from an initial idea to showcasing her innovation at one of the worldβs leading tech summits.
