Recruitment of Triple E GPs: an overview of a new pilot scheme in Hampshire and IOW

19 November 2018

Wessex LMCs Clinical Leadership Fellows are looking to recruit 10 GPs working across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to act as leaders of small peer groups.

This is a pilot project and is limited to this locality due to the funding stipulations. These individuals will be responsible for recruiting others to form local working groups focused on the personal and professional development of their members.

The Triple E GP vision builds on the Next Generation GP Programme (NGGP) that is running nationally which aims to “Engage, Empower and Energise” professionals.

The Triple E GP Programme is open to all qualified GP applicants regardless of stage of career and regardless of whether they have attended the NGGP or not.  This pilot will run until August 2019.

Successful applicants are required to attend a day’s paid training in leadership skills at the beginning of the project and a paid half-day exit at the end of the project for evaluation.  The Wessex LMCs Fellows and wider engaged stakeholders will mentor the Triple E GPs throughout the project.  The Triple E GPs will be given a budget to manage. This project aims to strengthen local networks.
