Community-based falls prevention programmes for older people: Themed review of ARC research

Overview

This report identified effective falls prevention interventions from the Applied Research Collaborations in Wessex, South West Peninsula, East Midlands and Manchester, including the Universities of Southampton, Exeter, and Nottingham. Implementation of these effective falls prevention interventions was a particular focus. A policy brief – Strengthening Community-Based Falls Prevention in England - was created to present recommendations for policymakers, commissioners and community leaders to support the commissioning, implementation and public understanding of effective falls prevention from the findings in this report.
