Health Innovation Wessex welcomes Dr Pete Worsley to the Board

We are pleased to welcome Dr Pete Worsley to our Board. With a wealth of experience in healthcare, and as a professor at the University of Southampton specialising in assistive technology and tissue health, Pete brings extensive expertise in bioengineering, skin health, and medical device innovation.

As co-leader of the Skin Health research group and deputy programme lead for BSc and MSc Physiotherapy, Pete has developed an international reputation in his research. He also oversees research facilities, mentors students, and supports national healthcare initiatives.

On the global stage, Pete helps shape standards in tissue viability. He works with industry partners to test and develop medical devices and co-founded Radii Devices Ltd, a company which provides cutting-edge technologies to advance prosthetics and orthotics design.

Our close partnership with members and the wider NHS system is underpinned by mutual Board representation, fostering joint decision-making and collaboration.
