Health Innovation Wessex appoint Nina Janda as Chief Commercial Officer

Experienced healthcare leader and entrepreneur Nina Janda joins Health Innovation Wessex (HIW) in a new position as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).Nina also joins Wessex Secure Data Environment (WSDE) in a commercial leadership role splitting her time between the two organisations.

Health Innovation Wessex (HIW) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nina Janda as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Nina will work across both HIW and WSDE to develop strategic partnerships and create opportunities for collaboration with industry, researchers, and innovators. Her work will help maximise the value of data, research and innovation, accelerating the adoption of new solutions, improving patient care, supporting NHS priorities, and contributing to sustainable economic growth across Wessex.

The role reflects the growing importance of connecting health innovation, research, data and commercial expertise to deliver greater impact for patients and the NHS. Nina will work with partners across industry, academia, healthcare, and investment to identify and develop commercial opportunities, while supporting the growth of the region's health and life sciences sector.

Nina is an experienced board-level healthcare leader with a career spanning the NHS and health technology organisations, including Dr Foster and Beamtree. She has founded several pioneering organisations focused on using data and digital innovation to improve patient care and healthcare efficiency. Her achievements include leading the development of the world's first international risk-adjusted datasets, enabling hospitals across the NHS, Europe, the United States, the Nordic countries, and Australia to benchmark outcomes and drive improvements in care. She is also a Non-Executive Director at East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust and Chair of East and North Hertfordshire Hospital Charity.
