Health Innovation Wessex appoints Richard Booth as Deputy CEO and Director of Innovation Adoption

Dr Richard Booth has been appointed as our new Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Innovation Adoption.

Richard’s extensive experiences at the forefront of healthcare innovation include establishing a deployment framework within a digital healthtech scale-up, guiding portfolio companies within a medtech investment business, national innovation adoption programmes at NHS England and business and strategic partnership development at a government-owned research organisation. He joins Health Innovation Wessex from his role as Director for Companion App Deployments where he worked with pharmaceutical and medtech clients and led the successful delivery of projects both nationally, working closely with NHS clinical teams, and internationally.

Speaking about his appointment, Richard said: “What a fantastic opportunity to join a great organisation that is delivering benefits to patients, our members, Wessex and the wider NHS.  I am delighted to be joining Nicola and the Health Innovation Wessex team to use my experiences in enabling patients and NHS staff to benefit through innovation adoption.  There are so many opportunities to partner with academia and companies to improve the lived experience within the health and care environment, and I’m really looking forward to meeting colleagues and getting to know our partners in the NHS, research and industry.”
