AHSN Network and partners shortlisted for national HSJ Award

The Academic Health Science Network, NHS England and NHS Improvement Personalised Care Group, National Patient Safety Team and NHS Digital are shortlisted for a prestigious national HSJ Award.

The combined team is nominated for its COVID Oximetry @home work, which saw the rapid roll out of pulse oximeters, and primary and secondary care pathways, for Covid-positive patients during the winter and spring of 2020-21. The work is shortlisted in the 'Patient Safety' category.

The work helped monitor patients' oxygen saturation levels, and catch 'silent hypoxia' early. The work also helped safely discharge Covid patients from hospital.
