New report explores digital readiness in general practice

4 February 2021

Between February and September 2020, Health Education England (Wessex) Digital Fellow, Dr Matt Hammerton, undertook a Wessex AHSN-sponsored service evaluation of the 33 general practices within the North and Mid Hampshire ICP, and associated digital companies to better understand digital readiness within general practice.

This evaluation, and report, is called 'Digital readiness within general practice: A mixed methods evaluation within the North and Mid Hampshire Integrated Care Partnership' and is now available.

The evaluation has demonstrated variation in digital readiness between technologies, staff and practices and linked these to the most relevant factors. The paper describes the findings from the evaluation along with seven pragmatic recommendations for tackling the most pertinent issues.
