The Health Innovation Network Polypharmacy: Getting the Balance Right Programme aims to support local systems and primary care to identify patients at potential risk of harm and support better conversations about medicines by promoting shared decision making.
Anticholinergic medicines are prescribed for a wide range of conditions. In older people, who are exposed to lots of medicines, the impact of anticholinergic burden can be severe and have a significant impact on their outcomes. Routine measurement of anticholinergic burden is important, but is not universally done.
There are changes to the ACB calculator tools available. Join us to hear from Dr Delia Bishara, Consultant Pharmacist Mental Health of Older Adults & Dementia to understand how the Medichec tool was created and how to use it to support better patient care.
The masterclass will also include a Q&A session.
