Role purpose

At Health Innovation Wessex (HIW), we’re on a clear mission: deliver better care to patients, faster. As Chief Commercial Officer for HIW and the Wessex NHS Secure Data Environment (SDE), you’ll turn insight, innovation and collaboration into real-world impact - working across both organisations to drive income, scale innovation and improve outcomes.

You’ll build powerful partnerships across the NHS, industry and academia, develop compelling commercial offers, and position Wessex as a national leader in secure data and real-world evidence. You’ll work alongside senior leaders, national partners and industry to drive innovation at scale.

We’re looking for a strategic, relationship-driven leader with a strong track record in commercial growth, partnership development and shaping high-value offers; someone passionate about improving care through innovation and data.

Lead a bold commercial strategy across two high impact organisations, developing compelling offers for industry, including consultancy and real-world evidence services
Build influential strategic partnerships across the NHS, industry, academia, life sciences, medtech and digital health to co create solutions that improve outcomes for patients and communities
Unlock industry investment opportunities and shape data pricing to accelerate the spread of proven innovations into frontline care
Turn Wessex’s rich data assets and collaborative culture into measurable, ethical, real world health impact.
