Wessex Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) is a catalyst that creates the right conditions to facilitate change across whole health and social care economies, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for patients. The AHSN’s remit is to identify and spread health innovation at pace and scale; driving the adoption and spread of innovative ideas and technologies.
The Primary and Community Care Programme at Wessex AHSN is dedicated to support small implementations and evaluations to influence wider adoption and spread.
Primary Care Demonstrator Sites (PCDS) allow a unique opportunity for the NHS and innovators alike. Structured short-term pilots provide a real-world clinical setting for innovators to test their product, allowing for insights into usability for more informed development. This simultaneously provides practices and PCNs the prospect of trialing innovations to either support emerging technologies or to test something market-ready prior to a long-term commitment.
The Wessex
AHSN Primary and Community Care Programme covers practices and PCNs within
Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Dorset and south Wiltshire.
