Kim Appleby

Senior Communications and Strategy Manager

Kim joined Health Innovation Wessex in April 2023. Prior to this, she spent six years working as Communications and Engagement Manager for the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) Wessex, where she led the communications function alongside operational delivery of patient and public involvement activities. In this role, Kim specialised in campaigns, copywriting, media relations and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining CRN Wessex, Kim worked for several UK charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support and Action for Children. In these roles, she led and supported a portfolio of fundraising events, campaigns and community engagement activities.

Kim holds an undergraduate degree in English from Queen Mary, University of London, and recently obtained a Masters in Professional Communications from the University of Nottingham. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and has a Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
