Sally qualified as a general nurse in 2000 at the University of Leeds. Her nursing career focused on working in acute renal care, renal transplantation and intensive care. She joined Gambro Healthcare as a National Home Haemodialysis Nurse, helping dialysis units across the country to establish a home treatment offering. Within her time at Gambro (now owned by Baxter Healthcare) she took on other roles such as National Nurse Team Leader, National Nurse Manager and later moved into an educational/sales role in the south.
Sally later joined the Wessex Cancer Alliance as a Partnership Manager, supporting and building relationships across the NHS and industry. Establishing joint projects that helped meet the national cancer ambitions. Following her time at the Cancer Alliance she was appointed as Quality Improvement Lead for Children’s Mental Health at the Wessex Clinical Network (now SE Clinical Delivery and Programmes). Sally's focus was to work with the CCGs and providers to achieve the requirements of the Five Year Forward View and The Long Term Plan. She had a particular focus on eating disorders, digital, self-harm and suicide prevention.
