Evaluation is a systematic approach to understanding what works, what doesn’t, and under what conditions. Robust and effective evaluation of your innovation can help you and potential adopters to realise the full potential of your product or service by generating evidence of its impact on the people, organisations, and systems it’s designed for. A well-designed evaluation can be highly influential, so it is important that you consider it carefully - and at the earliest opportunity - to show your innovation’s value and to surface areas for improvement.
Join Emily Hunter from the Health Innovation Wessex Insight team for a masterclass geared towards SMEs and innovators who want to learn about evaluation and understand how to approach it. The session will cover theory as well as lots of practical advice, guidance, and signposting to a wealth of resources. The session will cover:
· What is evaluation and why it’s important
· What we mean by value
· Where to start when planning an evaluation
· What is a good evaluation question
· What we mean by ‘evidence’ and how to collect it
· How to get the most from your evaluation findings.
