ReCePT - Prevention of Cerebral Palsy in Pre-Term Labour.
More pregnant women in pre-term labour are being offered a treatment to give their babies the best life chances and reduce the chance of their baby developing cerebral palsy.
Through an initiative called PReCePT – preventing cerebral palsy in pre-term babies – all of England’s maternity units are now offering magnesium sulphate thanks to Academic Health Science Networks working with Patient Safety Collaboratives.

Health Innovation Manchester, the organisation responsible for accelerating proven innovation into Greater Manchester's health and social care services, and the Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire Patient Safety Collaborative are part of a national project to improve the number of eligible women being offered the treatment in England.
