Falls prevention innovation: thinking differently along the patient journey event 23 February 2023
We know that falls cause distress, pain, injury, loss of confidence, loss of independence and, for some, mortality.
The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) updated guidance, Falls: applying All Our Health (February 2022), highlights the annual activity and costs related to those aged 65+ falling, emphasising the benefits of taking action. Finding innovative solutions to falls prevention along the patient journey matters.
Delegates from diverse and varied backgrounds from our Health Innovation Wessex Healthy Ageing Community of Practice journeyed with our Health Innovation Wessex Healthy Ageing and Industry and Innovation team representatives, in a quest to think differently about falls prevention innovations.
