The HTSP Round 2 support focuses on the NIHR- i4i- connect call 9
Successful applicants receive the following support free of charge:
- Engagement with Wessex clinicians and academics to form a research team to apply for the targeted funding calls
- Feedback on their innovations and ways in which it may better meet clinical needs
- A fully funded associate who will provide project management support to coordinate bid writing, liaising with the chief investigators funders and wider research teams and ensuring that deadlines are met.
The HTSP is divided into five stages:
- You complete the HIW Company Engagement Form, and inform rosie.mackay@hiwessex.net
- Applicants will be invited to meet with HIW and NIHR CRN Wessex to discuss their innovation and suitability for a collaboration
- If successful, applicants (with the support of HIW/ NIHR CRN Wessex) will complete an information pack with application documents and highlight areas where the innovator would benefit from feedback, clinical input or research support
- This information pack is reviewed by an expert panel of clinicians and academics for feedback, advice and where appropriate signposting to other opportunities
- HIW Wessex will invite successful applicants to form a strong research team with Wessex based clinicians and academics, who will help them apply for funding to develop their innovation or real-world evaluation.
You must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You must be a UK registered small-to-medium-sized enterprise (SME)
- The innovation of interest will meet the funding opportunity criteria
- The research will be carried out in the Wessex region (principally in Dorset and Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, as defined on the HIW webpage)
