We have published new guidelines to help innovators apply an evidence based, systematic approach to accelerating the spread and adoption of innovation and best practice.
The guidelines comprise four stages, including assessing the potential for spread and adoption, a decision framework, developing a spread plan, and planning for implementation and sustainability.
You can download the PDF of these guidelines via the link on the right of this page.
Each stage is supported by several resources including a framework for describing the four levels of support for spread, guidance on how to spread through dissemination and/or diffusion and templates for assessment of spread and adoption potential, network and communications plans and an implementation and sustainability checklist. Taken together, the resources support planning for spread and adoption from the initiation of a programme through to delivery at pace and scale.
These are issued as live guidelines for use across Wessex and beyond, but with the understanding that through increased use, they will be refined and improved. Our spread and adoption team are the custodians of the guidelines, and are available to support their use and development.
