This month, SBRI Healthcare has announced the launch of the second net zero funding competition. Delivering a Net Zero NHS: Clinical Innovation, funded by the Accelerated Access Collaborative, and in partnership with Greener NHS and the AHSN Network.
The competition opens on 24 August 2022, and seeks innovations that can help reduce carbon emissions in areas of clinical care and patient pathways that have a higher impact on the environment, while delivering high quality patient care.
Specifically, the four challenge areas include:
• Decarbonising surgical pathways
• Reducing waste in surgery and critical care
• Net zero personalised care
• Tools to support the workforce to deliver net zero care
Wessex AHSN has a long history of successfully supporting innovators to shape funding bids, including many SBRI applications. We can advise on whether a proposed project fits the scope of the call, sometimes avoiding days of fruitless work. We can help check and edit bids prior to submission, and we can help prepare innovators for the interview stage. If this is of interest, please do get in touch.
For further details of the competition, eligibility criteria, and the application and assessment process, please refer to the relevant documents on the competition page.
