We are delighted to invite you to the Safety in Emergency Surgical Practice event on the 29 September at The Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton.

 Wessex Patient Safety Collaborative has partnered with the Royal College of Surgeons to deliver this event which is open to surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, ODPs, QI staff and other interested hospital clinicians and staff.

Poster competition
Abstracts are invited on the theme of Safety in Emergency Surgical Practice. For further details including guidance and regulations view the event page.  The submission deadline is 4pm, on Friday, 4 August.

The prize - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be acknowledged. The winners will be announced by and presented with a prize and certificates at the conference. Details of the winners will also be published on the RCS event webpage.

The day will also feature the launch of the Wessex Emergency Surgery Network.  The network will meet several times a year and aims to connect staff across Wessex to support patient safety and quality improvement in emergency surgery.
