The AHSN Network would like to appoint a National Co-ordinating Director. This role is primarily to co-ordinate and connect Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) nationally, working with the AHSN Network Chair to:
- develop proposals that strengthen intra-AHSN organisational development and collective impact
- build upon existing best practice that improves AHSN collective impact
- rapidly review, propose and implement AHSN collective governance
- rapidly review and propose a process that will secure effective coordinated administration and secretariat functions
- develop an SLA providing business continuity for secretariat services from April
- oversee this contract renegotiation
- report to the Chief Officers as a network
- develop, with Chief Officers and wider AHSN colleagues, a more strategic approach to communications and reputation management
- develop the role as a key point of contact with NHS England, NHS Improvement etc., while maximising the input and using the talent present across the AHSN executive and non-executive talent pool
- work with the sub-groups of the AHSN Network e.g. Improvement Directors, Communications Forum, Commercial Directors.
