As I reflect on my first year as Chief Executive of Health Innovation Wessex, I am filled with gratitude having worked alongside dedicated colleagues and collaborated closely with our trusted partners.
It is this commitment to enhancing patient care through innovation that has enabled us to overcome challenges, celebrate milestones and build a strong foundation for what lies ahead.
Each success has not only shaped our journey but also built our knowledge and fuelled our passion to bring fresh energy to old problems, inspired thinking to new ones and to spread innovation and best practice.

Achievements and Milestones
We have seen a wide range of incredible innovations and new ways of working, coming through our door. I am proud of the extent of our collaboration and co-production. By partnering with local healthcare providers, academic and industry leaders, we have embedded innovative solutions that address Wessex's unique health needs, positively transforming lives.
Our collaboration with the Central and South Genomics Medicines Service Alliance and NHS partners has seen advancements in genomics education and research, benefiting patients and boosting the regional economy. This initiative not only enhances patient care but also strengthens our workforce, universities, and industry partnerships.
We are expanding our health economics and data analytics capabilities, supporting our partners in making sustainable, cost-effective decisions. This approach helps tackle the significant health challenges faced by our community.
Looking Ahead
Our journey doesn't stop here. We are committed to embracing innovation to support the NHS and we are particularly focused on the three key shifts: moving from treatment to prevention, transferring care from hospitals to the community, and harnessing digital transformation.
