Emmanuel trained as a physiotherapist and moved on to health related research in both academic and clinical setting soon after obtaining his qualification. In recent years he worked as a research practitioner in multiple disciplines including Covid-19 and mental health in acute and community trusts.
Emmanuel completed his PhD in March 2020 using a mixed-methods approach to evaluate socio-ecological impact on children’s physical activity level and sedentary time within primary school setting.
He is passionate about applying evaluation and implementation methods to understand 'what works for who, how and why' in the health and social care sector.
