Using Normalisation Process Theory [NPT] framework to evaluate a new care model [NCM] and its teams: the Isle of Wight Integrated Locality Services.

Category: Frailty, New Care Models, New Roles, Service Integration

Date: 2018

The 2018 report reviews a Normalisation Process Theory informed mixed method evaluation of the teams involved in delivering a new model of care [ILS]. The model aims to improve co-ordination for people requiring more complex care and enable identification and earlier intervention for people at risk of crisis. The report describes the findings of two structured focus groups (including survey and brainstorming and ranking exercises) in each of two different locations. The findings show that ILS had become embedded in routine practice.
