This 2017 fieldwork report analyses the survey of GPs as part
of an intervention to improve the informational quality of referrals and reduce
referral rates by appropriately re-directing them. Just over two thirds were
satisfied with the way in which decisions of the referral management service
were fed back to them. GPs asked for more individualised
specific feedback, a monthly summary about local clinics and other services to
which to refer patients, and regular updates about the performance of the
referral management scheme.
