Dorset Rapid Insight Remote Consultations Case Study

Wessex AHSN formed a rapid insight team in April, working with our member organisations, to capture learning about the changes they had put in place, and to help them to understand what they want to keep and develop in the longer term. This rapid insight case study focuses on Dorset Integrated Care.

In response to the challenges of covid-19 in March 2020, primary community and secondary care services across Dorset moved to rapidly adopt and scale up ways to support patients remotely (virtually) rather than through face to face apointments. The result was a doubling of on-line consultations via e-consult and a ten fold increase in the weekly use of video consultations via Attend Anywhere.

This report describes the outputs of a Rapid Insight project designed to capture the experiences and learning from the clients response to covid-19 and their views about what to maintain and develop in the future.
