Do you have an innovation that can help meet the challenges facing health and care but are unsure how to successfully navigate the steps to market?
Are you a health and care provider wanting to embed a culture of innovation but are unsure of your organisation’s adoption readiness? Perhaps you’re about to embark on implementing an innovation, but are unsure of the steps to adoption?
Health Innovation Wessex (HIW) has launched a call to help innovators and NHS providers to adopt, spread, and embed innovations within health and care.
The Wessex Innovate call will award an NHS provider and their preferred innovation supplier the opportunity to work in partnership with HIW to support the deployment of an innovation within a healthcare setting.
The call launched on Monday 30 October and innovators or healthcare providers are invited to apply by 12 noon on Monday 27 November.
The deployment support will be undertaken by HIW’s Innovation Adoption team, which specialises in offering a bespoke implementation service.
Deployment plans will be co-designed with the innovator and the NHS provider site(s), helping to demonstrate the impact of the innovation in the intended healthcare setting.
HIW has extensive experience in the assessment and study of innovation in health and care, offering real-world and evidence-based approaches to support implementation.
Patrick Arnold, Programme Manager, Innovation Adoption team, at HIW, said:
“Successfully implementing innovation isn’t easy. We know that people’s perceptions about an innovation can account for between 50% and 85% variance in the rate of adoption and spread.
“Yet, supporting implementation in practice is a vital part of the pathway towards adoption-readiness. Our experts can support innovators and health teams understand how to implement and embed innovation into clinical pathways to answer the complex challenges facing health and care.
“This call provides an exciting opportunity to support the deployment of innovation, helping to improve patient outcomes and drive economic growth in the health and life science sectors. We look forward to receiving applications in the coming weeks.”
